Mahsa 2

On February 27 2024, on BBCNews, I found:

Iranian women « ready to pay the price » for defying hijab rules.

By Caroline Hawley,

Diplomatic correspondent

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-68402016

So, on 03/05/24, I decided to publish a news I had recorded seven months before.

« The morality police are making a chilling comeback in Iran. The hunt for unveiled women has resumed in Iran where refusing to wear the hijab is now considered both a crime and a contagious mental illness.

At the same time, a mysterious wave of poisoning with adulterated alcohol claimed dozens of lives. Two months before the anniversary of the beating to death of Mahsa Amini for a badly worn veil on September 16, the sinister white vans of the morality police, identical to the one which had embarked the young Kurd, have reappeared in the streets of Iranian cities.

The first images of arrests show, among other things, a woman in a black chador immobilizing a woman without a veil, until the very rapid arrival of the gasht-e ershad van, literally « the patrols of the Islamic orientation ».

Furthermore, two days after Mahsa’s death, September 18 2022 that is, I decided, sad and poor consolation, to write two short texts dedicated to Mahsa Jina Amini. Here is an extract from the first one followed by the second in full.

Extract

The Greek prefix « apo » means « do not », and the verb « kaluptein » means « veil » or « hide ». Together, this gives « Do not veil » or « Do not hide ». That is exactly, literally, what Mahsa Jina Amini did, which cost Her her life. What a barbaric ideology

She was only 22 years old.

 22

As in « The number of the heart »

THE EAR IS BORN THE DAY THE HEART STARTS TO BEAT,
AND THIS PRODIGIOUS DAY IS THE TWENTY-SECOND DAY.

22

As in:  « Singing is the noblest way of expressing one’s freedom».

Always 22 minutes past the hour.

From the depths of her murderous prison, Mahsa, tortured, raped and killed for a lock of hair that overflowed from her veil, Mahsa sensed that the time had come to end the current apocalypse she was living in, the apocalypse of darkness, the apocalypse of terror, the apocalypse of male domination, the apocalypse of « ODERINT DUM METUANT – Caligula». (Let them hate as long as they fear).

Shame on Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khameneh!

Mahsa announced the end of the veil and therefore the end of the thousands of years old sub-humanization of Women. The conditions of her departure are the sad reflection of the state of great barbarism on which certain dogmatically misogynistic ideologies are still rooted.

Part 2

To Mahsa Jina Amini and to all Kurdish, Iranian and Afghan Women

To hide the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE Life.
To veil the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Life.
To hide the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE Freedom.
To veil the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Freedom.
To hide the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Uniqueness.
To veil the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Difference.
To hide the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Femininity.
To veil the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Dignity.
To hide the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Identity.
To veil the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE her Naturalness.
To hide the Beauty of a Woman is to DESPISE LOVE

Nothing touches the soul more directly than beauty.
